MAKER AT HEART. DESIGNER BY TRADE.

Growing up, my parents’ worst nightmare was leaving me unattended with a screwdriver. I was obsessed with taking things apart, fully convinced I could rebuild anything from scratch if I just saw how it worked inside. That hands-on curiosity made studying Industrial Design a natural fit.

My pivot to digital design came after the ultimate DIY project: converting a van from the ground up and taking it on a two-month road trip. Tackling that project proved how much I loved solving complex problems. Once I started taking user experience courses after the trip, everything clicked. Digital product design gave me the exact same rush of taking apart complicated systems and rebuilding them into something simple and functional.

Today, I’m a Senior Experience Designer at VML, where I serve as the lead designer for the redesign of United Rentals’ Total Control platform. I spend my days working alongside product owners, BAs, and developers to untangle data-heavy workflows and turn them into intuitive pages.

When I’m not in Figma, I’m usually hanging out with my pets, catching up with family, or hunched over my Cricut ready to make whatever craft project someone hands me.

Design Principles

Unpack & Rebuild

Clear solutions require understanding how a system actually operates. I unpack complex mechanics early to align user needs with business goals, grounding every decision in clear logic.

Share Early

Over-polishing in isolation delays progress. I bring early concepts to teams and stakeholders for feedback, knowing that collaborative input sharpens the work far better than tweaking in a silo.

Stay Adaptable

Real-world projects rarely follow a straight path. I turn shifting client needs and technical constraints into opportunities, keeping momentum high and ensuring the solution evolves seamlessly alongside the team.

WHERE I’VE COLLABORATED

VML (2021-present)

At VML, I work as a Senior Experience Designer, collaborating with product managers, business analysts, and developers to build digital products for clients like United Rentals and Thrivent. For going on four years, I’ve served as the design lead for the redesign of United Rentals Total Control (TCX) platform. My core focus is taking complex, data-dense enterprise workflows and making them clean and intuitive; guiding ideas from early white boarding to production ready files in Figma, building out design systems, and partnering closely with dev teams.

Freelance (2018-present)

As a freelancer, my work lately has centered on comprehensive brand redesigns, helping businesses shape their visual identity across typography, color palettes, and logo design. Beyond branding, I regularly dive into broad graphic design work, tackling everything from book cover design to custom collateral and print layouts.

MAKER AT HEART. DESIGNER BY TRADE.

Growing up, my parents’ worst nightmare was leaving me unattended with a screwdriver. I was obsessed with taking things apart, fueled by a mildly delusional thought that I could construct anything from scratch. That hands on mindset made studying Industrial Design a no brainer.

My jump into tech came from the ultimate DIY test, building a conversion van from the ground up and taking it on a 2 month road trip. Along the way, I dove into online UX/UI courses and was completely hooked. Digital product design gave me a new canvas to dismantle complex problems and rebuild them better.

Fast forward to today, I work at VML as a Senior Experience Designer, leading the Total Control design team through high-level concept strategy and enterprise solutions.

Outside of work, you’ll find me hanging out with my pets, catching up with friends and family, or standing over my Cricut—ready to craft literally anything anyone asks me to make.
